Hello, I am Maria
I work as a project manager. I'm a parent and an expat living in Madrid, Spain.
A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter in my life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn't in our long-term plan. As is common with expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, routines, and expectations. Daily tasks seemed more complex than they ought to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, unpredictability, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines settled in. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt secure.
Why I Created Brisk Stream Spark
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a frank, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap—practical advice grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Hands-on experience from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- Not a tourism board resource
- Not a sponsored review platform
- Not a generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains helpful, I’ll continue to document our discoveries.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Maria
